Global Day of Action Against Red Cross - PortugalIWA's Portuguese Section organized few actions in solidarity with Federico Puy. First action was on 14th August, when they distributed a leaflet in front of Delegation of International Red Cross in Portugal (in Lisbon). On 28th August they’ve put some posters in different places of Red Cross in Lisbon (like schools, hospitals, etc.) On 29th August a new distribution of leaflet has been made in front of Delegation of International Red Cross in Portugal. Global Day of Action Against Red Cross - PolandUnion of Syndicalists (Poland) sent protest letters to Red Cross Poland. Global Day of Action Against Red Cross - SlovakiaPriama akcia, section of International Workers' Association in Slovakia, sent protest letters and organized actions against Red Cross Slovakia. Global Day of Action Against Red Cross - NorwayNorwegian Syndicalist League (The Norsk Syndikalistisk Forbund, NSF-IAA) sent protest letters to Norwegian Red Cross. Global Day of Action Against Red Cross - SerbiaUnion Confederation Anarcho-Syndicalist Initiative (ASI) from Serbia distributed hundreds of leaflets outside of Red Cross headquarters in Belgrade. Also, letters of protest have been sent to the Serbian Red Cross. Global Day of Action Against Red Cross - Bosnia & HerzegovinaAnarchosyndicalist confederation Solidarity (Solidarnost) - Bosnia and Herzegovina - made a small solidarity action in the city of Banjaluka - it distributed leaflets (picture attached) - and placed them in public areas of several other towns. Solidarity also sent the same protest letter to different addresses of Red Cross in Bosnia - to its offices and heads of departments. Global Day of Action Against Red Cross (29th August)Last 28th May the Argentine Red Cross dismissed the teacher comrade Federico Puy from its secondary school because of ideological reasons. His Citizen Rights’ syllabus was questioned for “haveing a lot of ideological content”. The next day a dismissal telegram was sent to him with the typical pretexts used to rationalize firing precariousness labor around the world. |
